Authorized System Integrator Accelerated HandlingTool/iRVision-2D Operation and Programming

This course is only available to signed authorized integrators. It will be taught at an accelerated pace.  ASI Students enrolled in this course must have hands on experience with FANUC robots, and complete the prerequisite eLearn courses, in order to keep pace with the accelerated nature of the class.

HandlingTool Operation and Programming

This portion of the course covers the tasks that an operator, technician, engineer or programmer who needs to setup, record and/or troubleshoot programs on a FANUC Robotics HandlingTool Software Package.

Course Objectives: Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

-Power up and jog the robot
-Recover from common program and robot faults
-Execute production operations
-Create, modify and execute a material handling program
-Create and execute MACROs
-Monitor, force and simulate input and output signals
-Backup and restore individual programs and files

iRVision Setup and Operations-2D

This portion of the course covers the basic tasks and procedures required for an operator, technician, engineer or programmer to set up, teach, test, and modify iR Vision applications on an R-30iB Robot Controller.

Course Objectives: Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

-Discussion of vision system considerations and concepts
-Discussion and setup of Hardware
-Discussion and setup of software 
-Discussion of the necessary settings for an error proofing process
-Teach and run an error proofing process
-Set up of calibration user frame
-Set up and calibrate the camera
-Discussion of the necessary setting for a single view process
-Teach and run a single view process

Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises. In addition to presentations and demonstrations, this course offers a series of lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab exercises relate directly to the classroom presentations and are intended to reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands-on experience.

Audience: This course is intended for signed authorized integrators who must install, set up, program, and troubleshoot a FANUC Robot using HandlingTool software and iR 2D Vision system.

Prerequisites:  Completion of online eLearn classes - HandlingTool Operations and Programming & iRVision 2D, as well as hands on experience with Teach Pendant navigation and robot operation.  Attending a Robot Operations course would be of additional benefit.
