This online course is taught by a certified FANUC Instructor using WebEx and RoboGuide as a service (RGaaS). You can attend this training from the comfort of your home or office while still being able to interact with a virtual robot using our cloud based RoboGuide product. The class will run 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, with an 8:00 AM start time on day one.
Course Overview:
This course covers the tasks a technician, programmer or engineer would need to set up and use FANUC America Corporation’s Dual Check Safety (DCS) software. This class is specific to robots with version 7.5 and newer software.
Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises. The course consists of lectures, chapter reviews, demonstrations, and a series of lab exercises designed to reinforce what the student has learned. In addition to lab exercises, a pre-test and a post-test are used to measure mastery of objectives.
Course Objectives: Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Understand the DCS menus
- Set up and modify DCS General parameters
- Set up and modify position check functions
- Set up and modify speed check functions
- Create user models and DCS frames
- Set up and modify DCS Safe I/O parameters
- Recover from DCS alarm
Audience: This course is intended for the person who must set up an R-30iA (software version 7.5 and Newer) or R-30iB FANUC robot controller with DCS software installed.
Prerequisites: Completion of a live or virtual FANUC instructor led Operation and Programming course (e.g., HandlingTool, ArcTool, SpotTool). Completion of an online eLearn Operation and Programming course will not meet this Operation and Programming prerequisite. The student needs to be familiar with teach pendant menus, jogging, frames, basic programming, and fault recovery of the robot prior to attendance in this class. Knowledge of HandlingPRO software is beneficial. Students who have attended a prerequisite class more than two years in the past are required to pass a preparatory test prior to attending the class.
Note: For training done at the customer's facility, the customer is responsible to supply each student with computers that match the software's system requirements.
Requirements: A computer connected to the internet and the ability to receive mail delivery of a paper manual.
