Course Overview:
This course covers the tasks and procedures an operator, technician, programmer, or engineer would need to install, set up, program, and operate a CRX-Series robot using a Tablet Teach Pendant. The different types of collaborative operation and how they can be achieved as well as the RIA/ISO standards for collaborative operation are discussed. As the collaborative functions are a part of Dual Check Safety, this course will cover those items specifically related to the collaborative robot and others that may be used in achieving a more advanced system. This includes an introduction to DCS Safe I/O Connect, DCS Cartesian Position Checks, and DCS User Models.
Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises.
The course consists of lectures, chapter reviews, demonstrations, and a series of lab exercises designed to reinforce what the student has learned.
In addition to lab exercises, a pre-test and a post-test are used to measure mastery of objectives.
Course Objectives:
The goal of this class is to become familiar with the CRX-Series robot functionality. This includes topics from unpacking a new robot to successfully programming it to perform material handling.
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
- Understand the different types of collaborative operation.
- Understand the requirements for unpacking and installing a new CRX-Series robot.
- Become familiar with the Table Teach Pendant and CRX User Interface.
- Perform a backup and restore.
- Jog the robot by manual guidance.
- Create and test motion programs to pick and place workpieces.
- Gain an understand of collaborative functions related to a CRX-Series robot.
Audience: This course is intended for the person who must install, setup, program, and troubleshoot a FANUC CRX-Series Robot using a Table Teach Pendant.
