2 Days (16 Contact Hours)
Course Code: PRO0310-2
Course Overview:
HandlingPRO is a 3D robot simulation program. This course covers the installation and use of this design tool.
The course consists of lectures, demonstrations, and a series of lab exercises designed to reinforce what the student has learned. In addition to lab exercises, a pre-test and a post-test are used to measure mastery of objectives.
Course Objectives:
This course will provide procedures for creating a HandlingPRO virtual workcell. When completed, the workcell created will contain a FANUC robot with end-of-arm tooling, one or more fixtures for holding a part and a robot teach pendant program which moves the part from one fixture to the other.
Students successfully completing this course will be able to:
-Understand the difference between a real and virtual teach pendant.
-Jog the robot using alternative methods to the traditional teach pendant method.
-Add and define parts, fixtures, and end-of-arm tooling for the purpose of picking and placing.
-Setup an extended axis as well as additional motion groups.
-Create and modify programs with the simulation editor and program generator using CAD-to-Path.
-Analyze program execution with the Task Profiler.
-Understand different methods for matching a real workcell to a virtual workcell.
-Understand how to coordinate the motion between two robots using I/O interconnections.
Audience: This course is designed for application engineers who need to design robotic workcells, perform cycle time, reachability studies, or generate robot paths.
Prerequisites: Completion of a live or virtual FANUC instructor led HandlingTool Operations and Programming course. Completion of an online HandlingTool eLearn will not meet this prerequisite. The student needs to be familiar with teach pendant menus, jogging, frames, positional information, basic programming, and fault recovery of the robot prior to attendance in this class. Students who have attended a prerequisite class more than two years in the past are required to pass a preparatory test prior to attending the class.
We reserve the right to cancel or modify classes at any time.
